The projects that we invite parishioners to participate in each year include:
Jesse Tree Project:
Advent collection of toys for families in East Boston and gift cards to be distributed by the Needham Community Council.
Packathon for Haiti:
In conjunction with the Knights of Columbus we pack meal of rice, beans and dried vegetables for Haiti. Money to by the food is raised during Lent.
St. Francis House Collection:
Mid-winter collection of warm winter clothing for the homeless in Boston served by the Saint Francis House. Visit stfrancishouse.org
Sponsored lectures:
Occasionally we engage speakers to present information on current social justice issues to our parish community.
Rosie’s Place:
Twice a year we raise money to sponsor a meal, then we bring volunteers to Rosie’s Place, a women’s shelter in Boston, to prepare and serve the meal. Visit rosiesplace.orgsiesplace.org
