Service Trip 2020

Looking for an adventure ...
Summer 2020 High School Mission Trip. Interested ???

St. Joseph Parish is partnering with Vacations That Give to run a service trip for high school students to take place in June 2020. This is an opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to serve our neighbor. Service trips not only bring much needed physical and emotional relief to those in need, but also lead those involved to grow in their faith by living out the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Where are we going?  Angleton, Texas, which is outside of Houston. We will be partnering with Catholic Charities to do clean-up and rebuilding work for communities still suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey which struck in 2017.
What are the dates?  Leaving on Thursday June 25th and returning home on Thursday, July 2.
Who can go?

Those entering, completing or still in high school as of June 2020. Parents are welcome to come as volunteers. We require two adults for every 5 to 6 students.

How much will it cost?  The cost is approximately $500 per person, excluding airfare. That includes accommodations, meals, activities, and local ground transportation. Round trip airfare from Boston to Houston in June is approximately $350.
How are the arrangements being made?  St. Joseph Parish is working with Vacations That Give, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Anne in Framingham. They have organized and conducted many trips for parishes and schools over the years. They will handle the travel, accommodations, meals, and activities. A staff member from VTG will lead the trip.
