Parish Pastoral Council

  Bryan K. Parrish, V.F., Pastor, Chair
Fr. Parrish is a native of Canton MA and received his priestly formation at St. John’s Seminary, Brighton. He was ordained in 1988 and served as a Parochial Vicar at St. Mary Parish, Quincy (1988-1994) and St. Paul, Wellesley (1994-2000). In 2000, Fr. Parrish was appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish, Plymouth (2000 - 2007) and then as Pastor of Holy Family Parish, Duxbury (2007-2010). At the request of Cardinal O’Malley, Fr. Parrish joined the leadership team at the Archdiocese of Boston, serving first as Special Assistant to the Vicar General (2010-2015) and then as Episcopal Vicar for Clergy (2015-2020), as well as on various Archdiocesan Boards and Committees. More recently he also served as Rector of Our Lady of Good Voyage   Shrine, Boston (2019-2020). Fr. Parrish returns to pastoral life with gratitude to God. Tom Langford, Vice Chair
Tom grew up in Needham attending St. Joseph Parish and the parish religious education program. Tom works as director of communication at Abiomed, where he leads strategy and execution of Abiomed’s global communications and patient advocacy programs.  He has a degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University, and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.  Tom and his wife Liz have three boys, and he also volunteers as a youth sports coach.

 

Kathy Fritz
Kathy is a lifelong St. Joseph's parishioner and is honored to serve on the Parish Council. Mother of 2 spunky kids and wife to a man who always makes her laugh, Kathy is also a member of the Family Ministry. Kathy works part-time as a hormone coach for women in perimenopause and menopause. In her free time, Kathy plays as much tennis as she can schedule, reads as much fiction as she can carve out time for, and lets her husband cook as much as possible.

  Deacon Bob Horne
Bob was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate in September of 2018. He and his wife Susan have been parishioners at St. Joseph Parish since 1988. They have three children who attended the St. Joseph  schools. Bob's professional career has been in technology for financial services companies. Bob has a bachelor's degree from Boston College and masters degrees from Babson College and St. John's Seminary. He can be reached at rhorne@saintjoes.com or 781-444-0245. 
 
 

Chris Kenney
Chris grew up in Boston, but she and her husband Peter have called Needham and St. Joseph Parish home for the last 42 years. Their four children are grown and parents themselves, making her a very happy grandmother! Over the years, Chris has been an active leader and participant in many town and parish groups and activities. Most recently Chris has served as a member of the Evangelization committee, as an Extraordinary Minister at Mass and with the homebound. She has been a nurse for a very long time and is always up for the next nursing challenge. Chris enjoys tennis and golf, but also looks forward to enjoying a good book. She treasures gathering others around her table to share food, conversation, and friendship. 

  Father Joseph Kim
Father Joseph Kim was born in New York City and raised in North Carolina. Fr. Kim received his priestly formation of philosophy at Borromeo Seminary, Cleveland, and theology at St. John's Seminary, Brighton. He was ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in 2018, and served as Parochial Vicar at St. Mary, Sacred Heart, and St. Ann Parishes, Quincy (2018-2020). Jill Meyers
Originally from Indiana, Jill and her family have been active parishioners since moving to Needham more than 15 years ago from Pittsburgh. She and her husband, Eric, have three daughters ages 12-19, all proud students/alumni of St. Joseph School. Her past volunteer roles include co-chair of the St. Joe’s Parent-School Association (PSA) and St. Joseph Centennial Tri-Chair. Jill has a degree in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

 

Gina McLellan
Gina is a native of Chicago and received a degree in graphic design from the University of Illinois. She and her husband Dave have been married for 33 years and been members of St. Joseph Parish for 24 years. Both their son and daughter attended religious education at St. Joseph’s. Gina is an active member of the Wings ministry and also chairs the Evangelization committee for the parish.

 

Khristy Thompson
Originally from Pennsylvania, Khristy, and her husband Chris, moved to Needham 16 years ago and became members of St. Joseph’s Parish. Their son is a graduate of the parish middle school. Khristy has been an altar server coordinator, a WINGS committee member, and currently serves as a Baptism instructor for St. Joseph’s. She received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Penn State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William James College.

  Cathy Zimmerman
A native of Massachusetts, Cathy and her husband Myron have resided in Needham and been active members of St. Joseph Parish for 36 years. Our 3 grown children attended St. Joseph's schools and participated on many Needham sporting teams and St. Joe's Summer Theatre. I have been a member of the Justice and Peace Committee for the past 10 years, the Evangelization Committee since its inception and have served on Parish Council for 3 years. Professionally I graduated from Simmons College in Boston and have worked as a Physical Therapist at Beth Israel Needham for the past 23 years.
